The premiere of the movie was held at the Fargo Theatre on November 20, 2008, and was accompanied by a showing of The Children of Leningradsky, Polak's Academy Award-nominated short documentary. Technical difficulties prevented the movie from being shown in its entirety during the scheduled premiere, and the Forum published a brief article on November 21, indicating that Michael Carbone of the Fargo Moorhead Coalition for Homeless Persons would make an effort to schedule another showing.
