Movie Title Updates

All movie titles should begin with a brief factual statement, followed by four categories under the heading of "Main Details":

  • Plot Summary
  • Production Information
  • Cast
  • Crew

Chronology

Information posted in list form should be presented in reverse chronological order (i.e., the Internet Movie Database). In other words, newest movies go at the top of the list, oldest movies appear at the bottom of the list.

Adding Images

The Fargo Filmmaking Wiki welcomes still images, headshots, and poster designs for film entries and individual pages. Screen caps for still images should be sized 400 pixels wide. Do not use images less than 300 pixels in size (for height or width). Upload images directly to the wiki as opposed to using a third party site to host them. See existing entries for a guide. Additionally, place a single, primary image at the top of the page for each person or movie title, and use a thumbnail photo gallery for additional photos.

Category Tag

For a page to appear as part of the Fargo Filmmaking Wiki, it must include the appropriate category tag, as shown immediately below. The category tag is coded as follows: double brackets, the word Category then a colon, followed by the words Fargo Filmmaking Wiki followed by double brackets.

Current Categories

Categories can help users find information, even if they don't know that it exists or what it's called. Every page in the article namespace of newly created articles in the Fargo Filmmaking Wiki Project should belong to at least two categories, the one labeled "Fargo Filmmaking Wiki" and one other. Categories are major topics that are likely to be useful to someone reading the article.

Beyond the identity tag of the "Fargo Filmmaking Wiki" category, the two most prominent categories in this wiki are People and Titles.
